This is a custom printing service, not a retail listing. You send the design — we print it onto the mat. There is no catalogue of stock patterns to choose from, and we do not sell single mats: the minimum is 100 pieces per order, 50 per design.

A mat does two jobs: it stops tiles sliding, and it stops the table from taking the noise. Both come from the build, not from the print. What varies per order is the artwork.

Thickness is a real choice, not a upsell: 2 mm is the value option that still lies flat, 3 mm gives a heavier feel and a bit more sound absorption on a hard table. Anything larger than the two stock sizes is cut to your footprint.

Build

The surface is a waterproof printed fabric — it takes a CMYK design and wipes clean, which matters in a club where drinks are on the table. Under it the layers are bonded, and the base is a non-slip rubber that grips without marking the tabletop.

The edge is precision stitched with a colour-printed border. That is the part that decides whether the mat survives a year of being rolled and unrolled: an unstitched edge delaminates from the outside in.

Your artwork: vector or PDF

Send the design as vector (AI, EPS, SVG) or a PDF exported from a vector source. That is the format we can print at full size without redrawing anything — text stays text, lines stay crisp, and a design that looks sharp on screen prints sharp on cloth.

What we need with the file:

  • Final size, or artwork with the mat dimensions in the filename. We print 1:1.
  • Bleed of 5 mm past the trim if the design runs to the edge — otherwise the border stitch cuts into the artwork.
  • CMYK reference if the colour is critical. We match to Pantone where you give us a number; “make it the same blue as our website” is not a spec we can hold.
  • Fonts outlined or embedded, so a missing typeface does not change your design.

A raster file (JPG, PNG) is possible at 300 dpi at final size, but we will ask you to confirm it, because upscaled artwork is the most common reason a sample gets rejected.

Printing

CMYK full colour, to your artwork. Send vector where possible; a photographic design needs 300 dpi at final size, because fine type softens at 2 mm scale.

Blank sheet in, printed design out — the press laying artwork onto the mat face, filmed on our own line.

Sampling: one week, several designs at once

You do not have to commit to one artwork to see how it prints. We run several designs through a single sampling round — print them, stitch them, ship them together — and the whole round takes about one week.

Sampling is cheap because it uses the same line as production; you are paying for material and time, not for someone to set up a separate process. Show the samples to your buyer, pick the artwork that survives real light, and only then commit.

Lead time and price

  • MOQ 100 pcs, and we accept 50 pcs per design when you are testing a range.
  • Delivery within one month of sample approval.
  • Mats are cut and stitched in house, so a short run does not carry a tooling surcharge the way a rigid box does.

What you are paying for is consistency: the same print density across a batch, the same stitch spacing, the same thickness at the edge. A mat that varies between units reads as cheap no matter what the artwork is.

How pricing works

The band above — US$4–8 per mat — covers the standard build: 800 or 845 mm, 2 or 3 mm, CMYK print, rubber backing and stitched edge, without freight.

Where you land in that band depends on print coverage, thickness (3 mm costs more than 2 mm), and packing: flat, rolled, or rolled into a printed bag. 100 pieces sit near the top of the band; 1,000 pieces sit near the bottom.

Getting a quote

Send the table size you are cutting for, the print artwork, and the thickness you want. We quote the mat, the sleeve and the rolled carton weight together — the carton weight usually decides the landed cost.

Typical applications
